Farmstand Apple. Warm Vanilla Sugar. Caribbean Escape. You savvy Bath and Body shoppers may have caught on to what I am thinking about here: soaps and hand sanitizers. Antibacterial ones to be exact. Nowadays we seem to think that every little bit of dirt is the end of the world and must be rid of before some one gets sick. This is actually not the case.
My friend Jake loves to poke fun at my use of natural deodorant. Public transit on any occasion can be a real treat, but after a Bomber game I find it to be particularly rank. “How do people get to smelling sour like that?!” Jake’s clever response to my thinking-out-loud: “By using natural deodorant!” Hilaaarious.
FD&C Red No. 6. Triethanolamine. Oxybenzone. These names are so ridiculous, my computer thinks I’m making a mistake. This week I thought I’d write a post about ingredients to avoid in cosmetics and beauty products. There’s SO many of them and their names are so long, my brain just shuts down when I look at them. My new philosophy is if I don’t know what it is and they haven’t put the common name in brackets, it’s probably not for me.
